This edition of Journal of Epidemiological Society of Nigerian is the second issue of the first volume in the series and it is loaded with rich original articles covering wide spectrum in health and health related issues. We can proudly affirm that the Journal has not just been revived to thrive but to also soar enviable heights through our collective resolve. Though this issue is coming out late we are optimistic that biannual publication of the Journal will become a reality this year as the up-coming EPiSON Scientific Conference papers will be harvested for the first issue of this year's edition closely followed by the second issue.

Some of the articles published in this issue include, the prevalence of overweight and obesity among staff of the University of Calabar by Abuo J, et al. What do you know about GMOs? It will interest you also to know how much doctors know about GMOs in the research work done by Daboer et al. What the workers in Nnewi factories are doing to mitigate workplace hazard exposures is of public health importance and will be of interest to you as studied by Okeke et al. As we go to Cross River state Ekpenyong et al compared the socioeconomic status of parents and Body Mass Index of in-school adolescents and their findings are revealing for those interested in public health nutrition. Some may have been in the dark over what led to the 2015 Cholera outbreak and spread in Ebonyi state. Onwe et al research work published in this edition has the epidemiological explanation. Is the school feeding programme by the present government making any impact? Banwat et al compared the nutritional status of children on the programme with those not included. Their findings in this edition will interest you.
