Editorial Comments

The Editorial Team of the Journal of Epidemiological Society of Nigeria is pleased to present to our esteemed readers, issue number 1 of volume 4 of our Journal. As always, these articles are among the many that went through the crucible of our reviewers and are the ones found worthy, in scientific content and scholarly presentation, for the Journal’s readers. The articles cover both communicable and non-communicable diseases. Not surprisingly there are also a number of articles on the disease of the moment-COVID-19, providing insights into the clinical presentation of the disease in Nigerians as well as self-risk perception and acceptance of COVID-19 vaccination among the population. You will find the articles very interesting to read.
In order to bring the content of these researches quickly to the scientific community, the articles are being published online immediately in pursuance of our “Ahead-of-print” publishing policy before the physical copies become available. In this way, any manuscript that has successfully gone through the review and editing processes, and found to be publishable, is immediately published online without having to wait for others to make up a full issue.
We are committed to continuously improving the quality of our Manuscript Management System (MMS) and by extension the quality of the Journal. Our readers are encouraged to visit the Journal website frequently at https://jeson.org.ng and suggestions are welcome in this regard either as letters to the Editor or emails to editor@jeson.org.ng.

Thank you and enjoy your reading
